Minutes of meeting - Sunday, April 19, 2009

Present: Patty Burger, Phyllis McTaggart, Kelly Elson, Dennis Pal, Tyler Hessel, Mary Ann Rowat, Naomi Pal

• Naomi Pal presented her idea for a group called, Naomi's Green Team. She is starting by organizing a clean up at the sout pier beach this sunday. Thereafter she plans to organize more cleanup events. We accepted her idea and believe the chamber should be involved.
• Discussion notes:
  • Tyler suggested that our group should focus on helping out, facilitating and expanding existing events in town. Rest of member in agreement.
  • It was suggested that we take an inventory of all the existing events and activities.
  • Dennis suggested that we could use this content for the website calendar of events and other content.
  • check with municipality to co-ordinate events
  • look at events to see if and how we can facilitate and help make that event even more successfull
  • Kelly will contact Roger to get a coordinated list of our events
  • Tyler will contact municipality to get a list of their events
  • this information will be submitted to Dennis and he will coordinate to get this information online.
  • Tyler was declared the Chair or Champion of this committee and will call the next meeting
  • Meeting adourned
